FRANCISCO, EN UN VIDEOMENSAJE PARA MAR DEL PLATA: «EL CENTRO DEL EVANGELIO SON LOS POBRES»
El papa Francisco aseguró que «el centro del Evangelio son los pobres», al enviar un videomensaje a la Diócesis de la ciudad bonaerense de Mar del Plata, en el que destacó una iniciativa solidaria de la Iglesia local.
«Quiero saludar de modo especial a los servidores de la Noche de Caridad y del Hogar de Nazareth de la diócesis de Mar del Plata por la atención a las personas en situación de calle», planteó el pontífice en el video dado a conocer por el Vaticano.
«¡Muchas gracias por lo que hacen! Especialmente, lo que me cuenta el Obispo Gabriel, que han alquilado dos hoteles para tener más lugar para todos en el crudo y húmedo invierno de la costa marplatense»; agregó luego, en referencia a monseñor Gabriel Mestre, el titular de la diócesis.
En su mensaje, además, el Papa agradeció «a todos, laicos, laicas, pastores, benefactores de la Iglesia y todos los sectores, para atender a Cristo en el rostro de los hermanos más pobres y marginados».
«Ahí está Cristo. El centro del Evangelio son los pobres. ¡Gracias, gracias de corazón por lo que hacen!», se despidió Jorge Bergoglio.
